Rocking the Roots!

                                               Rocking the Roots!

Highlights are so last season. Who would have thought that having hair roots was going to be the biggest style hitter of the season?  Well, its popularity is growing massively. The Ombre hair colour has emerged into one of the most popular styles this season. It is hip, unique, and sexy and is easy to do on any hair colour. Celebrities are going crazy for it and have been rocking the style since it first hit the scene. Ombre, which comes from the French word for “shaded”, is a color effect where the color goes from light to dark. This style can be done drastically or can be subtle shading from the root of your hair to the tips.

The style has been a very popular look for quite some time but its hard not to mistaken it for looking lazy and having no ambition to colour your roots. The key to making this style look like you don’t have major roots? Make sure the deeper shade at the root is soft and gradually bleeds out. This can either be a very soft and natural look or can also be a more extreme and dramatic style.

The fab thing about this trend; it's highly economical, and works with any texture or tone. It’s also incredibly low maintenance. Think of it this way, you go get your highlights done and you re-touch your roots within 1-3 months after. With the Ombre hairstyle, the maintenance is eliminated. It’s basically a onetime hairstyle.

The Ombre style can easily be a punkish look or down to a subtler gorgeousness, depending on your personal style. The only thing that's really required is a little length, but even cropped-hair girls can try it. Whatever Ombré variation you opt for, just remember that it’s low-fuss and budget-friendly hair. This trend is a visible more natural looking version of the “visible root” trend.

The Ombre hair trend has reached out to celebrities, city girls and the curious country girls. One of the most important things to remember when trying to achieve the Ombre look is to make sure the stylist working on your locks is familiar with the style and is not using foil to achieve the Ombre look. This look must be done without foil. In order to keep this look looking classy and trendy it must come across as effortless.
The Ombre hair style works on all hair colours from brunettes to blondes and red heads. It’s something new and fresh. It’s something great for the ladies who don’t want to lose their natural hair colour. It’s natural hair with a touch of colour on the ends.  Another new style that is making waves and is fun and on trend!
